Safety and Food Safe Handling
DISASTER RELIEF FOOD SAFETY TRAINING
All staff must complete and be certified in the State Food Safety's, Disaster Relief Food Safety Training program in order to return to Ore House Restaurant. The new certification program deals with specific practices introduced to the food service industry addressing elements of Covid-19 safety and awareness. This certification is in addition to the already established Food Safe Handling required of our staff.
SANITATION AND PROTECTION
As was prior to recent changes, all staff members are required to immediately wash their hands, change into work attire, and wear gloves prior to engaging in work duties at the start of each shift. Further, continuous hand washing and changing of gloves is required throughout the shift.
SURFACE CLEANING
All surfaces both in the back of the house and the front of the house are continuously wiped with a disinfecting solution of 600 PPM of Sodium Hypochlorite (active ingredient of chlorine bleach) to ensure a sanitized environment. Front of the house staff also is responsible for wiping phone handsets, computer terminals, interior and exterior door handles, refrigeration and storage cabinet doors handles, along with any other contact surface.
PROPER STAFF SIZING
Properly staffing each shift ensures a balance of staff members to accommodate recommended social distancing as well as the opportunity to offer employment to as many returning staff members as possible.
MINIMAL TASK ASSIGNMENTS
Within the cooking process and boxing of to-go meals, staff members are assigned specific tasks in preparing items in order to provide the least amount on contact. Kitchen and prep staff handle food products in their contained environment. Minimal contact with boxes, containers, bags, etc. is permitted by the kitchen staff.
The front of the house staff organizes all packaging, condiments, and items included in the order before bagging for pick-up. This ensures that your to-go containers have minimal contact sources before unpacking in your home environment.
STAFF FAMILY AWARENESS
Staff member families are included in safety practices to further strengthen safe environment standards within the staff's personal settings. This helps to protect staff's family members environment as well as Freshies work environment when returning to work.

Staff members are continuously informed of and trained on any changes to, regulations, procedures, policies, and elements that will help to assure our up to date compliance of the food production industry standards.

CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS
Either through ChowNow or over the phone, patrons can use their credit cards to further reduce contact or share paper money to pay for orders.
